Established in 1955, Porthtowan Surf Life Saving Club is one of the oldest in the UK. The club provides training for Nippers (7-12), Juniors (12-17), and Seniors in various surf lifesaving disciplines. The main objective is to save lives through prevention and rescue, and they actively promote water safety. They offer training in lifesaving qualifications, fundraising, and community activities in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The club is affiliated with the Cornish Region and the Surf Life Saving Association of Great Britain.
