A purpose-built facility in the heart of the St Agnes community, home to Beaver and Cub groups, and available for hire for various events and activities.
The 1st St Agnes Scout Headquarters is a purpose-built facility in the heart of the St Agnes community and is home to thriving Beaver and Cub groups. It is reserved for use by the two sections, Beavers (aged 6-8) and Cubs (aged 8-10½), in the early evenings on at least two days of the week. At other times and during school holidays, it is available for hire for occasional or regular bookings by private individuals for birthday parties and other events, community groups, clubs, social and leisure organisations, and commercial organisations for meetings and training. Highlights include a large main hall, a large kitchen (with oven, microwave, sink, and fridge), toilets (including accessible and baby change facilities), tables & chairs, and an external area for outdoor activities. Beavers meet Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and Cubs meet Thursdays from 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM. The hut also hosts the "Slurps and Burps" group for carers of babies and toddlers on Tuesday mornings.
