Institute café is located within the St Agnes Miners & Mechanics' Institute (MMI) and is a welcoming, year-round neighbourhood café. Led by local chef Adam Vasey, the team, also behind Beastro, Chapel Porth Nighthatch, Schooners, and No. 4 Peterville, has established a permanent residency in the MMI's front room. It operates as an all-day café with a strong sense of style and offers great food, consistently open from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, seven days a week. The menu features outstanding deli-style sandwiches with in-house smoked meats, large hearty and healthy salads, excellent coffee, affordable breakfast options, and a variety of homemade sodas. Vasey's burgers are also available on Saturdays. The café aims to be a community-focused space, akin to a French street café or Italian deli, providing a regular spot for locals.
