A new online resource bringing local news to St Agnes Parish.
Following in the footsteps of sadly discontinued The Bolster, its aim is to serve the community with updates from around the parish.
If you'd like to contribute any local news or announcements (be that a sports club, community group, or personal story), please get in touch.
At some point in the future we hope to create a printed version of the news for those not online but this will depend on the success of the online version.

The council are looking to hire a part-time Administration & Finance Assistant with Planning Support, working 30 hours per week on a permanent contract. The role involves providing friendly, customer-facing support at the public counter, handling calls and emails, maintaining accurate records, assisting with invoices and financial administration, and supporting the Planning Committee with agendas and enquiries. They’re looking for a highly organised, helpful team player who enjoys working with the public and wants to be part of a friendly, cheerful team.

The council are asking residents to complete a survey about the future of youth support in the parish, including what services they value and how much Council funding they would be prepared to support. The Parish Youth Project, delivered with Young People Cornwall since 2015, has supported more than 2,000 local young people through safe sessions, activities, mentoring and individual support. The project costs around £39,000 a year, but its main National Lottery funding has not been renewed for 2026/27, meaning the service could be reduced or cease without alternative funding. The Council currently contributes £5,000 and is seeking residents’ views on whether it should increase its contribution.
